Council Code of Conduct

The public expects high standards of conduct and accountability from elected municipal officials. Nova Scotia’s Code of Conduct for Municipal Elected Officials Regulations establish consistent standards of conduct for municipal elected officials across the province.

The Town of Lockeport has adopted the provincially prescribed Code of Conduct for Municipal Elected Officials Regulations (N.S. Reg. 219/2024, as amended). The Code establishes standards of conduct and accountability for members of Council in carrying out their duties and serving the community.
