RCMP – Shelburne Detachment

The Shelburne RCMP Detachment provides policing services to the Town of Lockeport. For non-emergency police matters, report a crime, request police assistance, or report a missing person.

Medical First Response (MFR)
Lockeport’s Medical First Response team is a dedicated volunteer service that responds alongside Emergency Health Services to provide immediate assistance during medical emergencies.

Emergency Management
Emergency Management services for the Town of Lockeport are provided through the Shelburne County Regional Emergency Management Organization (REMO).
The Shelburne County REMO is a partnership between the five municipal units in Shelburne County:
- Municipality of Barrington
- Municipality of the District of Shelburne
- Town of Clarks Harbour
- Town of Lockeport
- Town of Shelburne
Working together, REMO coordinates emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery to help protect residents, property, and critical infrastructure during emergencies that exceed the capacity of local response agencies.
Residents are encouraged to prepare for emergencies by maintaining a household emergency kit, staying informed during severe weather events, and following guidance from local emergency officials.
