Overview

The Town of Lockeport participates in regional emergency management planning and response in coordination with municipal partners across Shelburne County, including both Eastern and Western areas of the County.

Emergency management planning helps communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies that may overwhelm normal local response capabilities. This can include severe weather, flooding, extended power outages, natural disasters, or other large-scale emergencies.

Regional emergency coordination works alongside local emergency responders, municipal officials, and provincial partners to support a consistent and effective response across Shelburne County.

During an Emergency

  • Follow instructions from emergency officials
  • Monitor local news, weather reports, and official municipal updates
  • Check on neighbours, especially seniors and those living alone
