Overview

The Town of Lockeport is working to make our community more accessible for people of all abilities. Our Accessibility Action Plan outlines the steps we’re taking to identify barriers and improve accessibility across town services, facilities, and programs.

We also participate in regional accessibility planning through the Eastern Shelburne County Accessibility Plan, a collaborative effort with our neighbouring municipalities.

Accessible Facilities

Town Hall

  • Wheelchair accessible elevator
  • Accessible washroom

Recreation Centre

  • Accessible washroom
  • Ramp access to programming areas
  • Attached to Town Hall

Crescent Beach Centre

  • Newly installed accessible ramp to the beach
  • Mobi mats for wheelchair beach access (coming spring 2026)
  • Hippo beach wheelchair available upon request

Seacaps Park

  • Fully barrier-free accessible venue
  • Accessible stage, seating, washrooms, and vendor facilities

A Hippo beach wheelchair is available for use at Crescent Beach. To reserve or request accessibility equipment, please contact the Town Office.
